With a well-rounded, experienced team of educators, Australian International School’s (AIS) curricula takes children from their toddler years to applying for university and beyond.
As the only international school in SG on the Southern Hemisphere schedule, its ethos is uniquely Australian. AIS hosts 43 nationalities. It is this multicultural environment, simultaneously underpinned by its Australian values of respect, opportunity and achievement, that make a difference.
3 Fast Facts:
1. Taking Care of Tots
The school’s Infant Care Programme at the Early Learning Village adapts to you and your child, via the creation of Individual Care Programmes. This includes allowing you to organise your little one’s school day to suit their needs. It follows the principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which places the child at the centre of the learning experience.
2. Inculcating Academic Rigour
For older children in Year 11 and 12 of secondary school, AIS provides a choice of pathways: an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or the Australian Higher School Certificate. To prepare and support each student, the IGCSE curriculum – taught in Years 9 and 10 – hones the academic rigour needed for students to achieve their ambitions.
3. All Languages Welcome!
AIS also welcomes non-English speaking international students with its academically robust, comprehensive and high level English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme.
“It has been wonderful to see so many caring families and nurturing teachers with so much affection for the school. We are grateful our children are receiving a global, integrated education, both academically in the classrooms and in outdoor play spaces. [Our son] Chase springs out of bed Monday mornings, excited for all the adventures awaiting him at school.”
– Michael and Lynda Willoughby, parents of Max, 10, and Chase, 4
