This Longest-Running British International School In Southeast Asia Dedicates Itself To Providing Exceptional Education

As a not-for-profit school, all tuition fees at Tanglin Trust School are devoted solely to providing students with an outstanding education.

Established in 1925, Tanglin Trust School is the longest-running British international school in Southeast Asia.

It caters to children aged three to 18, and aims to forge a love for learning from a young age.

3 Fast Facts:

1. Impressive Early Years Offerings

Tanglin’s dedicated Nursery team innovate daily to adapt the play-based environment to provide exceptional learning experiences. While lots of learning takes place inside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classrooms, just as much takes place outside. Refurbished at the end of January 2021, the exciting outdoor areas – including an outdoor kitchen, music shed and stage area – are now complemented by new, natural timber play structures to provide even more opportunities for exploration and imaginative play. In fact, the Nursery school is the first in Asia to achieve the Curiosity Approach Accreditation – a recognition given to institutions that embed a culture of curiosity in its learning environments – and the Quality Mark award for its Early Years curriculum.

2. Educational Autonomy

As the only international school in Singapore to offer ‘A’ Levels or the IB Diploma in Sixth Form, Tanglin’s Sixth Form students can choose the programme that suits their style of learning and the subjects they are passionate about.

3. Receiving High Marks

Tanglin students’ academic results consistently surpass the Singapore and global average, being listed in 2021 as one of the top 20 IB schools globally. In addition, Tanglin is within the British Schools Overseas (BSO) framework, and its Infant, Junior and Senior Schools have been repeatedly judged “Outstanding”.

Parent Perspective

“I can see how the engaging opportunities to develop my daughter’s collaborative, creative, communication and life skills – and being recognised for her good work by the teachers – have contributed enormously to her love for learning. She is quickly learning to read without even realising it! Her enjoyment of school has given her a wonderful foundation for the future.”
