So maybe these won’t have you dropping double digit kilos but every little bit adds up, right? With tips this easy, I think we can manage!
1. Tidy your desk
A US study reveals people in neat workspaces make healthier food choices than those sitting at messy desks. So spend five minutes at 5 pm getting organised for the next day.
2. Clean your teeth after lunch.
Experts say brushing after a meal reduces the tendency to snack because everything tastes terrible post-toothpaste. Peppermint is also a handy weapon to crush cravings.
3. Avoid the office feeder.
Hands up if you indulge in treats at work you’d never eat at home? Take a stash of proten-based snacks like nuts, peanut butter and apple slices to work, and it’ll be easier to skip the 3 pm sweet treats.
4. Move it, don’t lose it.
If slow-loading websites and hold music drive you crazy, use this downtime to subtly do some squats at your desk. Even standing instead of sitting will give your heart rate a welcome 10 bpm boost.
