4 Reasons to Go to the Singapore Yacht Show

Mark your calendars for the sixth edition of the Singapore Yacht Show sailing into ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove April 7-10. But I don’t yacht, you say? Or, I would love to yacht but I don’t have a cool $500,000 to invest in a luxury ship! I hear you but I’ve got 4 great reasons to check it out anyway!

1. It’s the best yacht show in Asia. As the Monaco of the East (in many ways), Singapore is the destination for superyachts. With its strategic location – a stopping point for boats heading to popular spots like Indonesia, Australian and New Zealand – Singapore has become the premier spot for serious yachting enthusiasts. See local dealers like Azimut Singapore, Simpson Marine and SG Boating as well as international leaders like Grand Banks, Sunreef and Princess Yachts

2. In addition to some of the world’s largest and most impressive superyachts, this years show will also feature toys and accessories (like an eco-friendly Jet ski raised on four hydrofoils and a 3 person submarine that can carry passengers to a depth of 1,000m) by industry giants Funair, Quadrofoil and U Boat Worx.

3. The Gala Dinner promises to be a night to remember but if 5 star meals and rubbing elbows with international boating fanatics isn’t your thing, the weekend will also feature live cooking demonstrations from Masterchef Asia judge Audra Morrice, super car parades and fashion shows!

4. Sure there will be a fair amount of show-boating but the Singapore yacht show will also remind you to revisit Sentosa. Whether you’re looking for adrenaline pumping fun, a relaxing day by the beach or even an elegant afternoon of high tea, Sentosa island is a quick an easy “getaway” that can feel worlds away from Singapore.
