THE SPACE The indoor area has a lounge with free Wi-Fi, and a studio. The outdoor area offers weights, suspension training straps, and a breath of fresh air. Also impressive are the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a glimpse of the sea.


The 44m pool has three jacuzzi jets for pampering sore muscles. THE SPACE This expansive gym has a snack bar and lounge at the entrance, and shower and locker rooms at the other end of its L-shaped layout. In between are a four-lane 35m indoor running track, a mixed martial arts cage and three studios.


A unique one-person swimming pool, which is like a tub with simulated currents, for strength and resistance training; Steam and sauna rooms for post-workout relaxation; Shower cubicles all decked with rain shower heads, and vanity counters equipped with hairdryers and deodorant sprays to help you preen and freshen up; Provided towels and head-to-toe workout gear – T-shirt, shorts, even socks!

THE SPACE The spacious gym spans three floors with separate areas for stretching, cardio and suspension training. It also has five studios, a meeting room, and a cosy cafe and lounge area with free Wi-Fi.


A membership smart card stores your personalised workout regime, which can be mapped out for you by a Virgin Active trainer. Plug it into the Technogym Wellness fitness machines to track your progress. The system tells you when you’re exercising too quickly or slowly, and which equipment to use next; Steam and ice rooms to relax tired muscles; showers with sprays of mist to cool you down; and a room where you can breathe in salt particles, which are said to help purify the respiratory tract and skin; Sleep pods – these lullaby-playing recliners are available in 20-minute slots for those who need a power nap; Shower cubicles stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner from luxury brand Molton Brown; Workout clothes and towels are provided, so all you need to bring is your footwear.

THE SPACE The gym sprawls over one level of the mall extension, with three studios and a weight-training area where Celebrity Fitness trainers are on hand to provide guidance. The gym’s decor matches its name – a glitzy gold wall greets you from behind the reception counter, and there’s even a backdrop in the lounge where you can take your own “red carpet” photos.
