5 Herbal Teas to Soothe What Ails You

Are your office mates coughing, sniffling and sneezing? Maybe you’re just feeling run down? Maybe you ate too much durian? Or perhaps you’re just feeling a little anxious? Instead of running to your medicine cabinets, why not try a soothing cup of tea?

While a cup of tea doesn’t guarantee an instant fix, it sure can help. We’ve found some of the best herbal teas for all of your minor health problems.


Peppermint Tea:

Great for abdominal annoyances (such as bloating and gas), nausea, relieving minor muscle spasms minor congestion.  Avoid if you have heartburn or indigestion.


Ginger Tea:

Great as a digestive aid and to soothe upset stomachs. Can easily be made with fresh ginger steeped in hot water for 10 minutes (a dollop of honey and spritz of lemon not only make it taste great but can add some extra Vitamin C).


Chamomile Tea:

Great for those pesky nerves and anxiety that keep you up all night. Chamomile is a favourite calming tea that can also help with minor coughs and congestion. The longer you steep the greater the benefits.


Rooibos Tea:

Great for fighting germs. With a high concentration of antioxidants, vitamin C and other minerals, it’s an all-around winner for a healthy boost to your day. Some also say it helps with common skin issues such as eczema.


Rosehip Tea:

Great for strengthening your immune system. As one of the best plant sources of Vitamin C, try this instead of a tall glass of sugary OJ.


Bonus Find:

Headaches are one of the most common minor ailments. There are several teas that you can try to help alleviate this annoying ache. Try Lemon Ginger or Green tea with mint.
