Here are our favourite picks among the restaurants we’ve tried over the month, and we think you should give them a try too!
1. Ah Bong’s Italian
Originally a humble store in a coffee shop open only for lunch, Ah Bong Italian has since opened its second outlet – a casual dining setting with even more to offer on its menu. And it’s still retained its affordable prices, with a hearty meal not costing you more than $15 per head.
The menu changes daily according to the ingredients of the day (and is uploaded on their Instagram every morning), but we’ve loved everything we’ve tried so far, so fret not, there’s always a new favourite dish waiting for you to try.
But if you’re in luck and spot the Fresh Pesto Pasta or the Spicy Zucchini Linguine on the menu when you’re there, definitely try these hot favourites!
103 Beach Rd, Singapore 189704
2. Hello Kitty Orchid Garden
The iconic Japanese feline makes a buzz with its first themed cafe here at the arrival hall in Changi Airport’s Terminal 3.
Hello Kitty motifs and kitty-shaped food are featured heavily in its Instagram-worthy menu of Western and Asian dishes, from all-day breakfast items to hearty mains and satisfying desserts.
Best of all? It’s open round the clock!
Singapore Changi Airport, Terminal 3 Arrival Meeting Hall Central, #01-22, Singapore 486058
3. Chow Fun Bar & Restaurant
Noodles take centre stage at this small plates eatery-cum-bar.
Slurp up more than 18 varieties of Asian and Western-inspired noodles for just $2.90 a bowl – dishes include Wild Mushroom And Truffle Penne, Ginger And Scallion Rice Noodles and Tom Yum Cream Udon.

4. Knicker + Bockers Pizza
Ever looked at a pizza menu and couldn’t decide because you wanted a little bit of everything? That’s probably what the folks at Knicker + Bockers had in mind when designing the concept for this pizza and pasta joint.
Here, you get to design your own pizzas – choose from 4 types of dough, 5 special sauces, 8 kinds of cheese and more than 40 toppings. Or simply pick from their equally delicious pre-made selections for a convenient, filling meal.
#B1-10 Ocean Financial Centre, 10 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049315
5. Huang Ting Restaurant
Cantonese cuisine gets a contemporary twist in this new player in the field. Helmed by head chef Alex Chuh, who has worked in restaurants such as Hua Ting and Peach Garden, the restaurant features East-meets-West signature dishes.
Think Crispy Chicken in Almond Flakes and Dried Chillies, Assorted Vegetables With Shiitake Mushrooms In Truffle Oil, and other fusion delights.
2 Jurong East St 21, IMM Building #02-24, Singapore 609601
A cafe by day and beer garden by night, Noshery is a spin-off eatery of contemporary restaurant Nosh, and has found its home in a quaint colonial black-and-white bungalow in the leafy Rochester Park dining enclave.
Must-tries: the eponymous Nosh Burger, as well as the seemingly simple yet promising Yakitori Salmon.
