7 Salons to Get Primped At Now

Fancy a traditional Chinese moxibustion treatment or fuller-looking lashes? Add these salons to your list of must-visits.

Flutters Lush Parlour

Get fuller looking lashes in 60 minutes

If you’re tired of sticking on falsies every morning, head to this lash parlour, which offers a wide selection of natural-looking lash extensions that are lightweight and vary in curvature, length and thickness. You can choose to attach 40, 60 or 90 individual lashes to each eye.

Must-try: Classic Vintage Beauty ($115), which gives you an additional 60 lashes per eye. Lie back and relax for an hour while a therapist glues on the faux lashes, which are sourced from Japan and South Korea. The result is a fuller looking lash line that will last for three weeks to a month, after which the falsies will fall off gradually (without taking your natural lashes with them – phew!).

The spa carries a collection of specially curated beauty products that you can’t get in stores here, such as skincare from Italian brand Comfort Zone and foot-treatment products from Swiss brand Mavex, which are made from all-natural ingredients. The spa also offers facial treatments such as the Skin Regimen Longevity Facial ($188 for 30min), which tackles spots, pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

Get a perfect set of arches

In need of a serious brow makeover? The therapists at Browtisan are trained to advise customers on the shape and style of brows that suit them most, depending on their face shape, features, skin tone and even bone structure. Other than brow services, Browtisan offers lash extensions and lip embroidery (a service for semi-permanent lip colour).

Must-try: Eyebrow Embroidery (from $1,380), a hassle-free alternative to filling in your brows every morning. The process is relatively painless – minute “hairs” are drawn on with a small blade-like tool dipped in ink; the tool removes the topmost layer of skin while adding coloured pigments in its place. The results supposedly last up to two years, but touch-ups may be required every six months.

Must-try: Royal Meridian Foot & Back Therapy ($158 for 100min), which relieves tension in the back and feet with a herbal foot bath and an extensive acupressure foot massage to drain excess fluid that accumulates in your ankles, feet and calves. You will also be treated to a soothing back massage and a relaxing hot stone treatment to relieve all those knots and aching muscles.

Get a pampering hand or feet treatment with unique ingredients

This salon offers hand and feet treatments with unique ingredients that you won’t find at most nail salons, such as red wine and monoi de Tahiti oil. Must-try: Whitenance Medicure Treatment ($78). The manicure starts with the nail technician using a gentle buffing cream to remove dead skin cells. Your hands will then be massaged with pure Iberian clay, red wine and olive oil.
