We’re talking chic in the city type of luxury with resort wear fashion brand, Shopping at Tiffany’s.
“I always create with my customer in mind: What does she desire? What is missing in her wardrobe? What complements the different moments of her day?” says Tiffany Maughan, the founder of Shopping at Tiffany’s and a winner of The Finder’s Expatpreneur Award 2021.
This is how her brand has become a favourite amongst the expat community and locals alike.
The shopping experience
With a mix of bold prints, breezy linens, flowy summer dresses and jumpsuits in luxurious fabrics, Shopping at Tiffany’s carries an array of styles in sizes ranging from AU6 to AU14 – ensuring the brand caters to a variety of body shapes. The brand also offers accessories so customers can walk out with a complete look.
But don’t assume all the pieces cost a pretty penny. Most of its best-selling dresses are under $200, and many are under $100 each. Chic accessories like clutches, woven belts, chain necklaces and more typically range between $50 and $70. It’s no wonder shoppers rave about Shopping at Tiffany’s. “Casual or more glamorous, you always seem to have the perfect pieces,” wrote one happy customer.
Beyond the fashion, the brand offers personal styling sessions – with Tiffany herself – at its Tanglin Mall and Raffles Holland V stores. She is also in the process of opening a third store in the east by the end of this year.
How the brand gives back
Tiffany’s own label, Kenz & Kate is a resort wear brand and produces ethical garments through factories in India and Indonesia. It ensures the factories abide by labour standards set by the International Labour Organization.
In addition, Kenz & Kate supports fair-trade practices, providing employment opportunities for the Balinese women. These skilled seamstresses bring the brand’s chic dresses and jumpsuits to life.
Likewise, its beautiful kaftans are made with 100-percent silk fabrics from India, where intricate beadwork is expertly handsewn by their talented workers, employed from a collective.
Despite all the hard work that has gone into making Shopping at Tiffany’s a success story since 2001, Tiffany prizes work-life balance. “Running my own business gives me plenty of flexibility to be there for my family,” says the mum of three (you can see her family above), then adds, “It’s a great example to show your children that you can do it all.”
