Explore The Various Rooms To GROW With This Tot-Focused International School In Singapore

Chatsworth International School aims to provide students with a nurturing environment so they can explore their deepest potential.

For 26 years, Chatsworth has remained committed to providing top-class education that shapes the young into globalised future leaders.

Although Chatsworth now resides at a new campus in Bukit Timah, the aim of delivering quality education to children and young adults remains constant. The Chatsworth Early Childhood Centre was opened at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year, realising a long-held dream of the school. This purpose-built centre is catered for younger learners aged 3 to 5 (K1 and K2), and is equipped with stimulating classrooms and facilities for learning and playing.

Amidst these exciting developments, one thing endures: Chatsworth’s ethos that takes pride in providing a trusting environment where students are given the space to explore, learn and grow.

3 Fast Facts:

1. Inspiring curriculum

At Chatsworth’s Early Childhood Centre, the curriculum is drawn from the globally recognised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), designed for ages 3 to 11. Classrooms and learning environments follow an inquiry- and play based curriculum, imbued with a Reggio Emilia approach. They are carefully resourced to enrich learning opportunities for pupils. The new renovated centre includes a sandpit and water play space, tailored specifically for young children right outside their classroom doors.

The school provides a fun and creative learning environment that is inspired by early years’ research practices and innovative pedagogy to support children’s exploration. For instance, a new clay and pottery centre has been introduced at the Kindergarten to enrich learning experiences.

2. Small but mighty

Chatsworth takes pride in providing an individualised and balanced education for each student. The school practises a low teacher-to-student ratio (2 to 22, for K1 and K2; 2 to 24, for Year 1 and Year 2) to ensure students receive attention and support. This allows pupils to form a deep bond with their teachers and grow in a warm environment.

3. Friends from everywhere

With students and teachers from more than 50 nationalities, Chatsworth is a truly international community-based school. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere, coupled with support provided by highly experienced teachers, enables new students to settle in and adapt quickly to the school environment. Given this diversity, students are exposed to and stimulated by new cultures and norms constantly.

“Chatsworth is a wonderful environment due to the personal passion of the teaching staff and nurturing community. The new preschool facilities are amazing, with great playgrounds – my son loved the pottery wheel and creative play included in his learning. There’s always something fun happening at school! It’s a place where fun and learning come together to create the best experience for our young children.” – Abigail Browne, mother of Ewan Browne (Kindergarten 2) and Alice Browne (Year 3)
