Cool Classes For Every Kid in SG This Summer

Learning shouldn’t have to be boring, which is why Pink Tower’s new programmes emphasise play – and are a tonne of fun.

Summer is just around the corner and you’re already wondering how to keep your kids entertained. Good news: Pink Tower has four new programmes to keep your child learning while having an absolute blast. Each course is suitable for kids between 2 and 6.

Reading Aloud

Give your little one a head start on reading with the Fun with Alphabet programme, which introduces kids to letter sounds. If junior is a little further along, the Readers’ Theatre programme is a great way to learn how to read with Montessori phonics. Both classes are available Tuesdays and Thursdays at Pink Tower’s Katong and Dempsey branches between May 31 and June 9.

Tiny Chefs

Your tot will learn about edible plants like vegetables, herbs and fl owers as well as their characteristics and various uses. Kids will also get to taste the ingredients and whip up botany-inspired dishes. The programme includes an excursion to Bollywood Veggies. Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Pink Tower’s Katong branch from May 30 to June 10.

Creepy Crawlies

Help your child overcome his or her fear of bugs with the adorably named A Bug’s Life. Kids can explore the world of insects through class discussions, videos, crafts and fi rsthand encounters in class. In addition, the students will learn fascinating trivia about common household bugs like ants and cockroaches and exotic insects like the rhinoceros beetle. The programme includes a fi eld trip to Sentosa’s Insect Kingdom. Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Pink Tower’s Katong Branch from June 13 to 24.

Explore the World

This six-day programme takes kids on a journey across major continents and countries to learn about the various geographical features, cultures, customs, languages and rich traditions of each country through hand-on activities, storytelling and intriguing sights and sounds. Classes take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Pink Tower’s Dempsey branch from May 30 to June 10.
