Read About How This International School Is NURTURING Every Individual

At EtonHouse International School, students grow and flourish through the celebration of unique talents.

EtonHouse International School has been trusted worldwide by parents for more than two decades.

Founded in 1995, EtonHouse has more than 20,000 students at 120-plus schools in 12 countries, with 14 EtonHouse campus locations and two Middleton campuses in Singapore. Known for its boutique nature and personalised approach to education, EtonHouse has a nurturing environment where your child is at the centre of all decision making. It is a family-oriented school, where every teacher knows every child.

It offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes, as well as strong bilingual immersion programmes.

As such, EtonHouse has nurtured many cohorts of fluently bilingual students (30 percent of its students received full marks at the 2021 Youth Chinese Test) and supported non-native English speakers to gain fluency in the language. In addition, Middleton International School offers IPC (International Primary Curriculum), IGCSE and A-Levels learning pathways.

3 Fast Facts

1. Warm, caring + experienced educators

EtonHouse handpicks passionate, experienced and innovative teachers who take into account education as well as the well-being of children. They respect children as competent individuals and value their uniqueness, and meticulously design learning experiences in a contextual environment. They also work closely with families to forge a strong and nurturing home-school relationship.

On top of that, EtonHouse is one of the few education groups in Singapore with a research and development centre and pedagogy specialists to provide teachers with ongoing training and access to the latest research. It is also the only school in Singapore to work directly with Reggio Children as part of its international network. Through purposeful listening and observation, educators work with each child to tailor specific learning outcomes and goals, while catering to their individual competencies and interests.

2. Raising bilingual children

EtonHouse offers two programmes to help children build a strong foundation in the Chinese language. Parents can either opt for the Bilingual Programme with one English-speaking teacher and one Mandarin-speaking teacher in the classroom, or the Mandarin Immersion Programme that is delivered entirely in Mandarin for Pre-Nursery to Nursery 1, offering children a focused Mandarin-speaking environment.

No matter the model or learning process, the thinking and values that underpin them are aligned, and informed by research and best practices. Language is not “taught” but naturally acquired, through meaningful experiences that build on children’s interests. Chinese culture and values are also incorporated to help children develop an appreciation and respect for other cultures.

Following the success of the Mandarin Immersion Programme at EtonHouse Zhong Hua, EtonHouse has expanded this popular programme to other campuses across Singapore at its Robertson Walk, Mountbatten 718 and Vanda locations.

3. IB World School

Children may begin the IB PYP programme from nursery. At EtonHouse Broadrick, the youngest learners have age-appropriate play spaces at the new Early Years Centre. This play space is designed to enhance the children’s learning journey through inquiry, exploration and joyful experiences. Being a part of the wider Broadrick community gives them access to a larger pool of specialist and language teachers.

Children can now grow with EtonHouse and graduate with an IB Diploma at EtonHouse Orchard! In just a short span of two years, the Orchard campus achieved its IB authorisation, and was applauded by the IB organisation for its boutique and personalised approach to education.

Parent Perspective

“Sena and Yuma joined EtonHouse Thomson in 2018. We had anxiety about our first overseas experience, but the teachers and staff warmly welcomed and supported us. Currently, my kids enjoy the well-designed curriculum, surrounded by many friends from all over the world. We feel that Thomson’s community is like one family.” – Takuya & Yuri Sugimoto, parents of Sena (Year 5) and Yuma (Year 2)
