When Terri-Anne Leske was pregnant with her twins, she used to bake 12 cupcakes a day just to decorate them.
She found it incredibly therapeutic to create edible artwork. That’s one of Singapore’s most famous food writers for you! Baker, mother of three, healthy food fanatic, food blogger, author of cookbooks and now an owner of her own Carrotsticks and Cravings café, Terri-Anne Leske’s world is one where dreams come true.
Carrotsticks and Cravings officially opened its doors in October 2017. And she considers it her “fourth” baby, as she nurtures the business along with making time for her 5-year-old twins and 3-year-old daughter. “This has been the hardest part, from working from home and being available for my kids to working 6 days a week, sometimes 12 hours a day.”
But, it isn’t an experience she would trade for anything. “I’ve had to learn very quickly on my feet, sometimes quite literally – think poaching 200 eggs in a day!” she says. “I’ve loved every minute of it.”
These days, Terri-Anne oversees a constantly changing menu of wholesome Australian comfort food, which ranges from quinoa and pomegranate salad to sourdough toast topper breakfast specials. While the banana smoothie choc chip popsicles may be meant for kids, adults enjoy them just as much.
