Singapore Restaurant Week is also a “must-do” event every year. But this year, the desserts will taste even sweeter knowing part of your money is going to a great cause.
Singapore Restaurant Week returns again, but this time, you can do more than just eat. DiningCity, the organiser for Singapore Restaurant Week, is adding a social responsibility angle to raise S$100,000 for The Food Bank Singapore, a registered charity that collects surplus food to be redistributed to organisations and people in need of food.
Called Two-Bucks-For-A-Truck, the funds raised will be used to purchase a truck and convert it into a mobile food pantry. Participating restaurants at this edition of Singapore Restaurant Week will donate up to S$2 per receipt until the fund-raising target is achieved.
More than 100 restaurants will be taking part, including Haha Thai, Ristorante OSO and Shisen Hanten. Participating restaurants will offer exclusive three-course menus for both lunch and dinner priced at S$25++ and S$35++, respectively. Dining City Star-Awarded restaurants will charge a supplement of S$15++ for lunch and S$20++ for dinner.
Check the official website for participating restaurants.
