This year’s Singapore Food Festival brings you the Chinatown Fifty Cents Fest this weekend.
It’s self-explanatory, really – dishes will be available for only fifty cents, reminiscent of back in the day when fifty cents was more than enough to get you a sumptuous meal. How did inflation hit so hard?!
Indulge in sumptuous local fare comprising more than 30 iconic traditional dishes – here’s a sneak peek of what you can get.

Tasting portions of other dishes will also be availble for $0.50-$2: oyster omelette, prawn noodle soup, braised duck rice, chilli crab, and more.
What a stroll down memory lane… except the food is timeless, of course!
