Ice cream and Singapore’s hot weather are made for each other. So it’s great news that many home-grown ice cream shops in Singapore now offer unique and creative flavours. Some specialise in ice cream made from locally inspired ingredients, while others craft out-of-this-world gelato flavours, or offer vegan ice cream. So why not experiment with some new ice cream flavours? Because while classic chocolate ice cream is always a winner, sometimes you want a little something extra.

Here are 22 of the best gelato and ice cream shops in Singapore to satisfy your sweet cravings.

*Disclaimer: At the time of publication, in view of the Phase 2 Heightened Alert measures, dining in is prohibited at all eating establishments until 18 August 2021. Take outs, are still allowed. We’re doing our best to be accurate, but please double check with the restaurants before you visit.

1. Creamier

This classic ice cream shop has been selling handcrafted ice creams since 2011. With interchanging flavours and classic best-sellers on the menu, you’ll leave with a smile every time. The ice creams are lusciously creamy, with a good body and a smooth texture.

Check out bestselling flavours like Sea Salt Gula Melaka, its take on salted caramel, but with an Asian twist. Or try Roasted Pistachio ice cream – think savoury-sweet nuttiness of Italian pistachio nuts. Another flavour worth trying is the Thai Milk Tea ice cream, as fragrant and milky as the beverage itself. Because ice cream and waffles go hand-in-hand, you can complement your ice cream with a thick Belgian Waffle ($14).
