Hurry down to the National University of Singapore Society’s Bukit Timah Guild House. There, you’ll find The Dunearn, the sole NUSS restaurant open to the public.

Appetisers include the Japanese-inspired Charred Saba Mackerel with Cucumber and Ponzu Dressing ($16) and the fusion-y Smoked Salmon Char Siew Style with Goma Tofu Sauce and Watercress ($16). Move on to main course creations such as Baked Arctic Char with Cauliflower Puree, Ham and Hazelnuts ($46) or Poached Brill with Cabbage and Cream-flavoured with Salted Anchovies. To satisfy your sweet tooth, end with a dessert like the Strawberry Consomme with Tapioca Ice Cream ($12).
If you opt for the fourcourse set dinner ($65 perperson), you can start with Steamed Blue Mussels with Sherry and Smoked Mayo. Then, have the Pan-seared Salmon, Vanilla Scented Potato Cream with Soy and Caper Sauce entrée and fi nish with a Spiced Milk Pudding with Lingonberries and Sago plus your choice of coff ee or tea.
This menu will only be available until the end of July. Go on, make a reservation – and enjoy!
