Learning Through PURPOSEFUL Play Is The Key To This Kindy’s Success

Named after the popular Arthur Ransome novel, Swallows and Amazons focuses on emotional development in an enquiry-based early years programme.

Learning is through purposeful play and its teachers do not adopt a “lecture-style” approach. Instead, they create a learning environment for children to explore and discover. The school works with student-teacher ratio of 5:1. For students between 5 and 6, the ratio is 6:1. It aims to create a familiar atmosphere for parents, where each of the 65 children enrolled in the school has a sense of success and an achievable outcome every day. The school has achieved the Singapore Pre-School Accreditation Framework Certification (SPARK) for the third time.

Other awards include the Singapore Excellence Award, Female Entrepreneur Award and the Luminary distinction in the Singapore Prestige Awards 2016-2017. Below are some of the school’s objectives:

Swallows and Amazons Kindergarten

Ages Taught: 18 months to 6 years
School Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Term Times: The school is open all year round except for two weeks over Christmas and the New Year.
Holidays: Mar. 12-13, 2018 (Professional Development Break); Aug. 31, 2018 (Teacher’s Appreciation Day); Dec. 15, 2018 – Jan. 2, 2019 (Christmas Break); All SG Public Holidays
