What’s a birthday without cake?
We love cupcakes, and we love Singapore, so we thought we’d combine them in our newest kitchen project – a National Day Cupcake. We teamed up with Elissa and Jacinta of Two Expat Cooks to decorate some super cute National Day-inspired cupcakes, featuring Singapore’s beloved Merlion symbol.
They’re not difficult to do, especially with the useful tips below. We’re not professional cake-decorators but we’re pretty proud of our creations, decorated in the Singapore national colours of red and white.
So here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make easy Singapore Lion Cupcakes.
You can make these cupcakes by decorating shop-bought cakes (the easy option if you’re baking with smaller kids). Or you can bake the cupcakes yourself, then decorate them.
If you need ingredients for the National Day cupcakes, remember you can get them delivered to your home with Lazada’s Redmart. Add items like vanilla extract or wholemeal flour to your cart and bake away!
