In Pictures: Meet The Team Behind The Finder At Our Recent Trade Event!

Just last month, The Finder team organised a trade event at Relish by Wild Rocket for our clients and friends to come together to recap on our growth, and look at our direction for the future (Spoiler alert: we’ve got lots planned!).

Here’s what went down.

Lots of planning (and decor, evidently!) went into making the event the successful one that it was. The bistro, an airy space peppered with potted greens, was charming as it is, and we pimped it up with our magazines for ease of browsing.

Our guests arrived soon after. They were certainly familiar voices – after countless phone calls and exchanges – but seeing them all together in the flesh? Now that‘s a first – and hopefully not the last.

Full house!

That day, our guests got to see the faces behind The Finder magazine.

Here’s our publisher, Eileen Chia, giving everyone a warm welcome speech.

Our editor, Sara Lyle Bow, talked about navigating her way around Singapore as an expat, and how she envisions the magazine to not only be every expat’s go-to guide for the latest scoop in town, but also for ideas and solutions in this urban jungle we eventually come to call home.

Talking about the history of The Finder, one of our guests, Karen French of Karen French Floral Designs, even brought out one of our first issues from 1994. We’ve come a long way!

22 years later, is print dead? Most definitely not. In fact, we recently redesigned our magazine to bring you MORE useful lifestyle content in each issue.

The folks at Relish also provided some light bites like mini sliders, truffle mushroom kueh pie tee, panna cotta, and more.

The French Cellar also came down to give guests a mini wine tasting session!

Best of all, our guests got the chance to mingle with each other too.

Rachel Ward of Taylor B. Design, which we got some adorable decor pieces from for our recent shophouse makeover.

That’s The Finder family for you!
