Formerly known as Aura, this elegant Italian restaurant is by no means the highest, but its prime location means you get to look out towards Marina Bay, particularly magnificent with the glimmering lights by night. There’s an indoor and outdoor dining space, whichever you prefer – either has that stunning view. This rooftop bar is one with not just altitude but with attitude too. Standing at a peak of 282 metres (63 storeys) above ground, this outdoor post proclaims to be the “world’s highest alfresco bar”, assuring you of stunning 360-degree views of Singapore as the sun sets over the horizon. This cult favourite bar is located on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands – which means you are guaranteed an uninterrupted view of the the whole city. The bar/restaurant/lounge features classic Italian American cuisine ranging from pizzas and plates of pasta to grilled steaks. 5. Lantern

Here’s a little titbit – the name of this bar at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is derived from the Clifford Pier‘s historical Chinese name, Red Lantern Pier, which was a landing point for Singapore’s early seafarers and immigrants.

However, the bar is everything but historical. Framed by an infinity lap pool, it offers enthralling panoramic views of the Marina Bay waterfront and Singapore’s skyline, making it the coveted destination for gourmet snacks, fine champagnes, signature cocktails (created by its resident mixologist) and wines.

6. Cook & Brew

On the 33rd floor of The Westin is Cook & Brew, a gastrobar-meets-fine-dining restaurant with international and local comfort food, from burgers to Singapore-style fried bee hoon. 7. Loof

Lauded as one of Singapore’s best rooftop bar, Loof is known as Singapore’s quintessential local bar atop Odeon Towers. Though right in the heart of downtown CBD, the al fresco space is tucked away with lush greenery with a refreshing breeze, making it a little getaway. 8. Artemis Grill

12. Southbridge

This rooftop bar at Boat Quay – overlooking Singapore River and the glittering skyline – is a great place to slurp oysters, paired with glasses of champagne or prosecco. The menu includes a range of craft cocktails to boot. The bar food here is not your average chips and olives. You’ll get satisfying stuff like pulled pork or wagyu sliders, and spaghetti with truffle and mushrooms – perfect for after-work sustenance.

Tip: You can enter via South Bridge Road – just look for its small black plaque next to the building lobby, then take the glass elevator up to the fifth floor.

13. Mr. Stork

Mr Stork, nestled on Level 39 of the exquisite Andaz Singapore, is a tranquil rooftop bar set among tropical landscaping with cobbled pavements and ten teepee huts. The unobstructed 360-degree view of the city skyline and the heartlands is definitely a draw, so do try to come by in the late afternoon before it gets busy, for a nice stroll. The sunset is truly stunning. Cocktails here lean toward the fruity and floral style featuring garden herbs and fresh fruits.

13. Smoke & Mirrors

Perched on the rooftop of the National Gallery, Smoke & Mirrors is known for its progressive cocktail programme curated by head bartender Yugnes Susela. The flashy cocktail experience covers three senses: taste, sight and touch, so you’d be treated to unique flavours woven with imaginative presentation.

There’s a range of excellent gins, rums, Asian whisky and even agave in the bar menu to boot. But the drawcard has to be the view – this indoor/outdoor space affords a spectacular panorama of the Padang and Singapore’s skyline.

14. Potato Head Rooftop Bar

All these views of Marina Bay can get a little repetitive. Switch it up with heritage views of neighbourhood Keong Saik at Potato Head’s cosy rooftop bar. With the seriously delicious and decadent Three Buns burgers and tropical cocktails, you can’t go wrong with these vibes.

15. VUE

Say hello to Singapore’s first rooftop spritz bar. Perched on top of OUE Bayfront, step into magnificently high ceilings with beautiful archways and a view of, the one and only, Marina Bay Sands. Beside Art is Cantonese fine dining restaurant, Yan. Expect familiar flavours of traditional Chinese cooking with modern day interpretations and thoughtful aestheticism. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the Omakase menu (“leave it up to the chef”) for an off-menu dining experience based on the best seasonal produce. 17. LeVeL33

Sitting atop of the penthouse at the Marina Bay Financial Centre, you’ll get the views of lush garden and the city central of Marina Bay. This urban microbrewery is a technical innovation of the Singapore rooftop bar scene, with freshly brewed beer at your service. The menu, too, incorporates beer flavour profiles into the dishes. Both the inside and outdoor dining spaces have amazing sky high views.

18. Spago by Wolfgang Puck

Spago opened as the first international offshoot of Beverly Hill’s favourite Wolfgang Puck. This sophisticated bar and restaurants offers classic Californian dishes with fusion twists, as well as an array of fruity and rich cocktails. Also perched on Marina By Sands, with CÉ LA VI and LAVO, you’ll get the views of Marina Bay and the stunning infinity pool.
