As she was growing up in Kuala Lumpur, Kay Cheong’s family was not very affluent, and she started working at the age of 14.
She travelled the world as part of the Singapore Airlines cabin crew, before settling down in Singapore after having a baby in 2016. She then transitioned into the immigration industry. Meanwhile, Elena grew up in Singapore and witnessed her mother transform from being a Work Pass holder to a Singapore citizen. Witnessing this immigration journey drew her towards the industry.
