Boasting a green campus nestled within a three- acre plot of land along Yio Chu Kang Road, The Grange Institution emphasises the eco-diversity of its lush outdoor location as an extension of the classroom.
It is the only international primary school in SG to offer a unique combination of curricula. Thanks to its reasonable school fees, the school offers considerable value in providing children with a future-focused education.
3 Fast Facts:
1. One Of A Kind
The Grange is the sole international primary school in SG to deliver both the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Cambridge Primary Curriculum – creating a balance of rigorous, structured subject learning with inquiry-based thematic learning.
This holistic, blended education philosophy called “Cre8tors-in-Action” is aimed at developing global citizens with eight core competencies, including Construction and Design, Respecting the Environment, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Active Citizenship. One example? The Grange partners with a technology start-up to create proprietary VR & AR contents for its IPC Units of Learning, and is possibly the first school in the world to do so.
2. The “Green Granger”
To inculcate a love for the environment among students, The Grange has recently established the “Green Granger” initiative where it continues to “green-ify” its compound and indoor spaces. This includes an Eco-Garden and an in-the-works Food Forest to support its Garden-To-Table project which allows students to eat healthy and fresh organic vegetables and fruits at school.
3. Looking Ahead
In March 2021, The Grange International Preschool (TGIP), the new affiliated preschool of The Grange, will open its doors for learners aged three to five years, with a focus on bilingual English and Mandarin development.
Check out what its students have to say!
“The Grange’s day starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4.30 p.m. This means our son has more rest with a calmer morning routine. This also allows for more family and personal time. The teachers, principal and staff are very kind and nurturing towards the students.”
