Jones the Grocer has earned the right to brag a little: Thanks to its impeccably sourced products, the brand boasts many Great Taste awards – known as “the Oscars of the food world” – and prides itself on its legacy of selecting the finest ingredients from local and international suppliers.
First established in Australia in 1996, Jones the Grocer has expanded to several other countries in the region including Cambodia and Dubai, with two locations in Singapore.
These popular stores and cafes are all about “fresh and honest, gorgeous and glorious gourmet cuisine with an artisan focus,” says retail manager Oliver Sutton, adding that Jones the Grocer sources its brands and private label suppliers first by looking at what products its customers are most likely to be interested in.
“This ranges from unique kitchen gadgetry to pantry staples to snacks, impulse items, artisan cheese, charcuterie and other high-quality or specialty ingredients,” says Oliver.
Upon identifying these items, Jones the Grocer aligns itself with producers that source ethically and, in most cases, “all-natural, organic or small-batch product ranges using time-honoured techniques,” says Oliver. The result? Jones the Grocer’s products are colourful, eclectic, unique and always delicious.
Swing by either of its two SG outposts to taste many of its foods and drinks on the spot – served right in their cosy-chic cafes. Then, bring home some of these specialty products.
