With the ArtScience Museum’s newly opened Future World exhibition, and now, TulipMania at Gardens By The Bay, Marina Bay Sands should top your list of places to go next.
This year’s TulipMania showcases equally, if not more stunning tulips, but with a fresh landscape – rather than the Dutch-inspired display from the last couple of years, this exhibition set amidst an elegant persian-style backdrop inspired by the origins of tulips in the ancient Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey).
The floral display is a splendidly vibrant medley of colours; stroll around the fields of flowers and learn about the significance of tulips in the art and culture of Turkey (it’s even her national flower!).
There are even tours where friendly guides will share with you fascinating botanical facts and anecdotes about the floral display.
If you’re lucky, you’ll even catch the last of the cherry blossom bloom from Blossom Beats, the previous exhibition that occupied the Flower Dome last month – the harmony of Japanese and Turkish flowers is a gorgeous, multi-dimensional display.
