No more crowded beaches, touting salesmen and jam-packed activities – we tell you why Aleenta Resort in Phuket ticks all the right boxes on our vacation checklist.
Pick the right destination
If the idea is to recharge your tired bones, then picking a city like New York is a bad idea. You should look out for a beach resort that’s far from the hustle and bustle, yet swanky enough to feel like your own private paradise. Aleenta Resort is located in Phang Nga, a slightly underdeveloped but still gorgeous area in Phuket. The resort sits by the secluded Natai Beach, and is a place where you can truly lose your inhibitions and make yourself at home.
Suss out the rooms
You want to make sure the room caters to your vacation needs. For sun-worshippers, check out Aleenta’s Beachfront Villas. Natai Beach is literally in your backyard, so there’s no need to look presentable for a spot of sun tanning. And if you’re there for a romantic getaway, the Pool Villa is perfect, as the highly private villa and pool allows for a spot of skinny dipping, which is a one-way ticket to heating things up!
Good food is a must
Any restaurant that requires fancy clothes is not worth a do-nothing holiday. Thankfully, there are two restaurants in Aleenta Resort where your sarong and slipper combo are very much welcomed. It’s also good to know that Executive chef Jean Louis pays close attention to the guests’ needs and eating habits. Even if you’re a picky eater or have special dietary requirements, Aleenta will go the extra mile to ensure you’re happily well-fed.
Check if they have a spa
So what’s there to do at a secluded resort? If it’s not sunbathing or chilling by the bar, then it’s pampering your mind and body with massages at a renowned spa. Ayurah Wellness Centre is located right in Aleenta Resort, so you don’t even have to travel out of the resort for heavenly spa treatments. Bam, an afternoon of indulgence well-spent!
Look for outside activities
If you’re the outdoorsy type and won’t be satisfied until you get your adventure fix, Aleenta Resort won’t disappoint. Start your morning with a spot of yoga or cycle around Aleenta’s suggested bike routes. Otherwise, the resort can arrange for shuttle buses or taxi transfers to Phang Nga Bay or Patong Beach (located about 30 minutes away from the resort), where you can spend a day island-hopping, engaging in water sports or visiting the bustling night markets.
