1. The Analog Vault
Established in 2015, The Analog Vault is every audiophile’s sanctuary. This store curates thousands of vinyl records across a plethora of genres like jazz, hip-hop, electronic and even local music. Plus, it retails analogue goods like the Audio Technica line of turntables and other music merchandise. So, expect to spend your day digging through well-stocked shelves of 7-inch singles, live albums, limited editions and box sets by artists from a wide range of music styles.

2. Retrophonic Records
Getting started with vinyl and in need of a setup? Retrophonic Records is the place to go. This boutique vinyl record store carries multiple turntable brands such as Audio Technica, GPO and Mobile Fidelity (MoFi), all of which you can test out in its store to compare the sound quality and features. It also showcases a catalogue of new and reissued vinyl records featuring over 4,000 titles across various genres like indie, rock, R&B, jazz and mandopop – great news if you’re expanding your vinyl collection. 3. Curated Records
At Curated Records, you’ll be presented with an impressive selection of thousands of vinyl records across different genres. This includes mainstream pop and hip-hop releases from stars like Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Kanye West and JackBoys, as well as music from lesser-known, independent artists across the world. This independent record store is also your best bet for indie music on vinyl.

4. Swee Lee
As Asia’s largest music store, you can count on Swee Lee for a wide selection of vinyl records spanning the music genres of pop, indie, rock, hip-hop, jazz, electronic and more. Think iconic albums from famous artists such as Lana Del Rey, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky. 5. Ravage Records Store
Look out, metalheads! Get your vinyl fix at this dedicated heavy metal record store in Golden Mile Tower. Ravage Records offers a sizeable collection of LP albums from Blood Chalice, Sodom, Dark Funeral and more. It also sells CDs from heavy metal acts and all sorts of merchandise, like T-shirts, hoodies, patches and flags.

6. For The Record
If you’re all about the nostalgia factor – we’re talking tunes from the 50s to 90s, pop by For The Record in Peninsula Shopping Centre. With over 40,000 records spanning big names like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Beethoven and Abba, this vinyl record shop has just about any album you could want. 7. Roxy Disc House
Founded in 1994, Roxy Disc House retails audiophile CDs and vinyl records for your listening pleasure. Its vinyl LP collection includes a long list of genres, ranging from pop and rock to R&B, electronic dance music and mandopop – so you can expect records by icons like King of Pop Michael Jackson and British rock band Queen. It currently has two locations in Singapore, each carrying a different range of records. Its store in Adelphi stocks the latest and reissued CDs and vinyl records, while its shop in Yishun houses a wide genre of pre-owned vinyl records.

When you step into this record store in Joo Chiat, you can expect new and reissued 7-inch singles and 12-inch records, as well as out-of-print titles to add to your vinyl collection. The selection at RetroCrates covers genres such as pop, rock, jazz and includes well-known artists like Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. But that’s not all, it has classics from the 60s to 90s, too, like LPs by Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Abba and Aerosmith.

10. Hear Records
Hear Records is a crate-digger’s paradise. Founded in 2013, this small record shop houses thousands of vinyl records across the classics, old-school jams and latest hits – all of which is shipped from the US, UK and Europe. 11. Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee
A quaint vinyl record store cum cafe and bar in Joo Chiat, Choice Cuts is the product of DJs from the Matteblacc collective. Other than featuring an eclectic selection of records on its shelves and racks, Choice Cuts also serves up specialty cups of joe and craft beers alongside all-day breakfast dishes like smoked salmon bagel and smashed avocado toast. It also used to host impromptu vinyl jam sessions pre-covid! And if you’re in the mood to cop some merch, you can find an assortment of streetwear brands and hip-hop inspired lifestyle products and accessories here.
