Luxury taken to the next level
You know you’ve checked in into a five-star resort when the private villa comes with a – get this – guest house. That sort of luxury comes naturally when the resort in question is The Sanchaya.
Opened last year, the colonial-inspired beachfront property in Bintan has since made it to several best hotel lists. Amongst its trappings: UK-trained butlers, in-room Bang & Olufson gadgets, and more.
All these are part of its Russian owner Natalya Pavchinskaya’s take on18th and 19th century European salon hospitality.
Pavchinskaya’s baby, however, is the 2,580 sq ft bungalow dubbed Vanda Villa, which makes for a perfect summer home. Besides the guest house, the two-storey property comes with three bedrooms filled with super king-sized beds, free-standing tubs, a kitchen, a pool, dining room and a balcony on the second floor that’s the size of a 4-bedroom condo apartment in Singapore.
So just how much would all this set you back? From US$10,000 (S$13,500) a night.
And here’s why it’s worth every cent.
Skip the line at the customs and head straight to the VIP lounge when you step off the ferry. The staff will take care of your luggage and passport check-in at the immigration.
Upon arriving at the estate, you’ll be greeted by the resort’s main building, dubbed The Great House.
The view out of the lobby looks straight into the South China Sea.
Lounge in the the expansive living room and dining room, which also houses a Bang & Olufsen entertainment system.
Take a rest in the your new bedroom…
…and then, freshen up in the en suite bathroom that comes with his and her vanity counters.
Enjoy sweeping views of the beach from the balcony that spans the size of a 4-bedroom flat in Singapore.
A four-poster bed sits pretty in the all-white guest house of the villa.
Slowly take in the fact that this lush colonial-style Vanda Villa is your home for the night.
