1. Korean Glossy Buttercream: Floral Cupcakes

2. Singapore Shorts’ 21

Singapore Shorts returns to showcase the best and unique local films in Singapore. Since its hiatus, the panel has chosen 27 creative and diverse films from the past two years for you to enjoy across five programmes. This event will take place starting 13 August through to 5 September, both in theatre and online. So you’ll have plenty of opportunities to peruse the many films available. Plus, screenings may be accompanied by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers!

3. Hansard (Screening)

Yet another event for theatre goers, but this time for play lovers. Check out two-time Olivier Award winners Lindsay Duncan (Birdman, About Time) and Alex Jennings (The Lady in the VanThe Queen) in this new play by Simon Woods. You can now enjoy Hansard’s 2019 live recording from the National Theatre London right here in Singapore. The play follows a seemingly perfect couple, but all is not as blissful as it seems. It’s a truly touching and moving play worth a watch.

4. Red Dot August

With National Day just passed, the festivities continue throughout August. Red Dot August features several local performances available online for you to enjoy at home. 5. Hyperrealities

Leap into the virtual reality realm and explore new worlds created by talented artists Olafur Eliasson, Marina Abramović and Anish Kapoor. Explore how the body works through intricate flesh and muscle, or touch a vibrant rainbow and even balance on crumbling polar ice caps. It’s as if your imagination turned real.

6. Zouk Beginner Level 1

Get your dance on and learn the energetic Brazilian Zouk dance moves. This is a beginner-friendly class so all are welcome! The head and body movements is what makes this dance class so unique and fun. Plus, you’ll definitely get a sweat on the for weekend calorie burn!
