The popular Cats of The World Purrzaar (COTW) is back on 10 and 11 April 2021 to celebrate all things feline! Proudly partnering Cat Welfare Society (CWS), partial proceeds from COTW Purrzaar market will be donated to CWS to support its causes. This latest edition of COTW at UltraSuperNew Gallery will feature an Instagram Cats exhibition, a fun Purrzaar market of talented makers and artists, cat-themed workshops and a cats adoption drive.

2. Transcendental Opening Weekend @ Cuturi Gallery

Transcendental” is a group exhibition by Cuturi Gallery (Singapore) featuring 14 local and international contemporary artists who explore the human form and condition through the timeless and ever-evolving style of figurative painting. With the recent resurgence of figurative art, “Transcendental” emerged as a timely showcase of global painters who, over the years, have meticulously developed and refined their individual distinctive aesthetic while embracing a refreshing narrative approach, giving form to their lived experience.

Cuturi Gallery is proud to present its thought-provoking artists who have been spearheading bold, and expressive contemporary figurative paintings which transcend conventional art ideals. Featured artists include Aisha Rosli, Andrew Salgado, Casey Tan, Carter Flachbarth, Faris Heizer, Giorgio Celin, Heidi Ukkonen, Jan Rybníček, Marla Bendini, Rebecca Brodskis, Rebecca Harper, Vanessa Liem, Victoria Cantons and Xu Yang. 3. Flurry Of The Flute by Singapore Symphony Orchestra

Held at the Esplanade Concert Hall this Saturday, expect a flurry of explosive whimsicality and enigmatic wit as Singapore Symphony Orchestra‘s (SSO) Principal Flutist, Jin Ta, takes on the challenging 1934 Flute Concerto by eclectic French composer Jacques Ibert. The programme led by its Chief Conductor Hans Graf also features two masterpieces from the Germanic symphony canon: Haydn’s 95th – August and Aristocratic, and Mendelssohn’s imposing First Symphony.

**This concert is dedicated to all healthcare workers in Singapore, as we mark the first anniversary of the circuit breaker.

4. Farm Day Out: Easter Edition

Farm Day Out is back with an Easter edition and R3-W is excited to be part of the event. It will be working with its partners Minimize and Gratitude Collectionz as well as charities like MINDS and the Saint Andrew’s Autism Centre. 5. Reframe: A Time To Resist

Reframe is an initiative by the Asian Film Archive (AFA) that aims to bring together diverse audiences and the film community at large through an innovative range of programmes, encouraging dialogue and examining topics surrounding cinema and the moving image.

This April, expect a selection of Indian cinema curated by Shai Heredia at the Oldham Theatre! While the world reels through a pandemic and the spectre of death and illness haunts us, the power and the lack of empathy of nation states has been put under the spotlight for all to see. With a focus on India, this series reflects how Indian cinema has endured as a site through which democracy has been imagined and negotiated. With films that address issues of land, labour and human rights through poetry, music and humour, this programme outlines how India has entered one of its most complex and dangerous political periods yet.
