Where to Go for Help in Singapore with That DIY Project

So you have a brilliant idea for a home project. You’ve been to Singapore’s best DIY stores. You’ve even researched how-tos and considered hiring a contractor but you’re pretty sure you can do it on your own…you just need a little support, inspiration or a bit more know-how.

Lucky for you, there is One Maker Group’s Maker Clinic at the National Design Centre’s Prototyping Lab!

Whether you’re looking for supplies, a little guidance or an experience expert to bounce some ideas off of, the Maker Clinic can help. Each attendee gets 20 minutes with an experienced Maker but should come prepared with a project description or sketch.  All discussions are private and confidential (you know, in case you’re sitting on a million dollar idea!). Sessions are free and currently run every Thursday. For more information, click here.

If you you’re not quite ready to meet with a master Maker, you can just use their machines to make crafts and hire their lockers to store your goods. They have sewing machines, glass and Perspex etching and cutting machines, sewing machines, embroidery machines, metal and woodworking tools and machines. The helpful staff with show how it works and even help you create and design!

Or, if you’re still in the very early stages of creating, check out our article on DIY stores for shops with experts who can help with your next DIY project.
