7 FUN Group Activities In Singapore For The WHOLE SQUAD To Enjoy

Who knew you could do this here?

Here are some kick-a** group activities, so your friends and colleagues won’t think you are lame.

Planning a group outing can be a monumental headache. Not only do you need to cater to a wide spectrum of interests and budgets, but you also need to find group activities that have a big enough space for everyone. Not just that, you’d want to avoid run-of-the-mill group activities that would evoke glazed eyes and muffled yawns too. Have no idea what to do? We have the golden recommendations to save the day. With plenty of fun yet affordable group activities, Singapore is not so boring after all.

1. Let loose at The Fragment Room

This is the perfect therapy for friends/colleagues who are constantly ranting, or when many of you have had one too many bad days. Let it all out at Fragment Room, also known as the Rage Room. From about $38 per session, you get to smash things such as plates, cups, photo frames (with your ex’s photo), and even TVs and radio sets with a baseball bat to your heart’s content. You can also choose your preferred playlist and get a set of safety gear to rage in style. The best part? You get to have a smashing good time and you won’t need to worry about the mess.

The Fragment Room, 490 MacPherson Rd., 368198; tel: 6970 0343.

2. Let your hair down at go-karting

We’ve all had our fun at the arcade race simulators when we were younger. How about doing it for real for your next group activities? Spend Saturday racing your friends around a 500m course at The Karting Arena. Have a thrilling ride through 11 specially-designed turns that include hairpins, tight corners and ninety degree turns, and channel your inner F1-driver skills. The 8m wide lane even allows you to overtake your friends, just like in the game. Just don’t crash into the wall.

The Karting Arena, 200 Turf Club Road, #01-01B, The Grandstand, South Car Park, 287994; tel: 9627 6771.

3. Work up a sweat at SuperPark Singapore

This fairly new indoor multi-activity park will bring out the child in every adult. At 40,000 sq ft in size, SuperPark is smack full of cool activities spread across three main zones — the Adventure Area (mainly for the kids, such as a pedal car track, flying fox and tube slide), Game Arena (where you can play baseball, street basketball, super pinball and golf, just to name a few) and the Freestyle Hall (skate, scoot, test your bouncing skills on the trampoline or rock-climb on an augmented climbing wall). Have a competition with your friends, or simply have a hoot bonding over your lack of skills. With so many different activities to try, we guarantee that you and your clique will love this park to bits. Plus, it means you don’t need to think of wet weather contingency plans. Ticket prices from $29.90.

SuperPark Singapore, Suntec City (North Wing) 3, Temasek Boulevard, Tower 1, #02-477, 038989. Email enquiry@superpark.com.sg for enquiries.

4. Have a ball at Holey Moley

Here’s Singapore’s first mini-golf bar, where you can eat, drink and game all in one place. The space, which spans two storeys, features 27 holes, and each hole is themed to a wide range of pop cult references like Game of Thrones, E.T., Wizard of Oz, Jaws and The Simpsons. They also have childhood favourites such as Pacman and Monopoly. A super fun and quirky spot with the craziest of set-ups, it’s worth checking out if you haven’t. The photogenic setting also makes for good wefies and OOTDs.

Holey Moley, 3B River Valley Road, 179024; tel: 3129 0000.

5. Work those legs at Bounce Singapore

If you’re looking for cardio-worthy group activities with your friends, look no further. At this indoor playground, you can bounce as high and as much as you like. Think Bouncy Castles for adults. The main area is the Free-Jump Arena, where you can run wild around 28 interconnected trampolines, tumble tracks and banked walls. There’re also plenty of activities such as basketball dunking and dodgeball that you can challenge your friends to. If you’re into hardcore stuff, book a sesh at the X-Park Adventure Challenge Course, where you get to live out your Ninja-Warrior fantasies by navigating through various obstacles of different levels of difficulty. What fun.

Bounce Singapore, Cathay Cineleisure, #09-01, 8 Grange Road, 239695; tel: 6816 2879.

6. Use your brain at Escape Rooms

Put your clique’s friendship to the test and give it a go at Escape Rooms if you dare! Within an hour, you have to make sense out of hidden clues and literally, escape. Some popular ones that you can check out include Escape HuntLostXcape and Lockdown. With various themes available (investigate the Whitechapel murders in the 1800s, or figure out how to escape from the prison at Alcatraz Island), it’s a fun, immersive and nerve-wracking experience that builds bonds and tests patience. We say you have to try escape room at least once in your life!

7. Learn something new together at a workshop

Crafting is one of the most best group activities, so gather your friends or colleagues and book a private lesson for a new skill. Online marketplace LessonsGoWhere gives you tons of options, whatever strikes your fancy. Want to learn the arts and crafts or take some tech classes? Even if your end product doesn’t turn out perfect, you’d have gotten the experience of a lifetime.
