Featuring tales of bumbling heists, thrilling hunts, hilarious, apocalyptic revenge and more – the inaugural Argentine Film Festival lands at The Projector with a diverse selection of six acclaimed films that covers all the major genres from comedy to animation. Back for a second year, the 2018 edition of the Singapore Tea Festival (STF) will feature 28 exciting tea and tea-related brands, and three days’ worth of educational and engaging workshops to look forward to. The highlight of this year’s STF is teapasar, the first global omni-channel marketplace featuring local and international tea brands, as well as exclusive and rare tea direct from farms. Toy Factory presents Oedipus, a play detailing the case of a senseless murder where a severely disabled man Wang Jia Hao has whipped his 50-year-old mother to death. Follow the murder mystery as an officer fights to uncover the truth of this incomprehensible act. The play recounts the incidents leading up to the murder, and viewers will see the different sides of Wang. Directed by Toy Factory’s artistic director Goh Boon Teck,  this original play will utilise nine professional actors and eight production and creative team members. Visit its EventBrite page to purchase tix.

Retail is allowed on holy grounds at the Singapore Design Fair, held on the premises of the Danish Seamen’s Church on 22 September 2018. You’ll see more than the usual flower domes and Supertrees, as Gardens by the Bay lights up and comes alive with mythical creatures and larger-than-life flora and fauna for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Be amazed at the complexities and intricacies of the lanterns on show, and bring on your own lantern to fully revel in the joyous atmosphere. Walk through the festive marketplace near the Supertree Grove, where traditional arts performances will liven your spirits. There will, of course, be food on offer, as well as a showcase of Chinese crafts (such as stone engravings).

Moonfest 2018, a premier traditional Chinese arts festival celebrates Chinese heritage and tradition through a spectacular showcase of performances inspired by legendary figures from works like The Creation of Gods and Journey to the West.
