2. Arts In Your Neighbourhood
Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN), an initiative by the National Arts Council, brings enriching arts experiences right to your doorstep every March and November! Enjoy immersive and engaging arts programmes by established artists and arts groups held at various spaces across the island.
Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) heads to the East for its first season of the year. Come and explore the wonders of the coastal town of Pasir Ris through a variety of physical and digital art programmes. An initiative by the National Arts Council, AYN brings enriching arts experiences to your doorstep, for you to enjoy the arts together with your family and friends from wherever you are.
Featuring a total of 10 exciting programmes co-created with a diverse group of artists, arts
organisations and community partners, AYN brings to life the stories of the neighbourhood through visual arts installations, music performances and multi-disciplinary experiences. Visit a puppetry gallery at Pasir Ris Public Library, embark on a visual art walking trail, see the town through a pinhole camera from inside a roving truck, or marvel at a dynamic light projection display on the façade of White Sands Shopping Centre. Join us this March to rediscover Pasir Ris and unearth its many stories!
3. Chamber Jazz @ Esplanade
Jeremy Monteiro and his musician friends return to the Esplanade Concert Hall in a unique chamber jazz configuration, with a string ensemble from the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra led by Adrian Tan and guest concertmaster Lynnette Seah joining Monteiro’s jazz band. Joined by guest artists Louis Soliano and Alemay Fernandez, the King of Swing promises an unforgettable concert with original music and standard jazz tunes arranged specially for this ensemble. Also completing the line-up includes flautist Rit Xu, saxophonist Sean Hong Wei, keyboardist Christine Sham, bassist Ben Poh and drummer Aaron James Lee.
Can’t make it to the concert hall? Fret not, the full concert will be livestreamed online so you can enjoy the show from the comforts of home! The stream will also be available for viewing until 4 April, 11.59 p.m. (Note that this livestream is only available for viewing in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Switzerland.)

5. Friends of the Museums (FOM) Docent Training: Become A Museum Guide!
Want to become a museum guide? Friends of the Museums (FOM) is thrilled to announce that they will be conducting a Public Information Meeting on 23 March 2021 @10am via the Zoom platform. This meet allows individuals to understand what it does and also to gain information of its docent training programme. This will be great for those who are interested to become guides in its museums (National Museum, Asian Civilisations Museum and Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall). It is still coordinating with other institutions to expand its guiding opportunities.
